Baby Thiessen's Doctor's Appointment, etc.

I know that many of you are curious about our first doctor's appointment today. We didn't get to meet the doctor but got a tour of "The Group" and had a wonderful nurse take our health history. After filling out the first form incorrectly (when you don't know your family history you should write "don't know" instead of "no") I filled out my second one correctly. We received a great book, magazines, a urine cup (for our next visit), and various other goodies. I had blood taken and will go back again on July 27th after we get back from California. I don't technically have one doctor because it is in a group with seven ob/gyns, so throughout the pregnancy we will see them all. They do it that way so you are at least familiar with the person who will deliver the baby. They have my due date at February 24 but "What to Expect.com" has it on February 22 but I'm hoping for February 20 because it would be a cool looking number (02/20/2010).

Then we came home...while I was sitting on the couch and Brian was using the toilet. We heard a noise. I yelled "What did you do?" Brian yelled back, "It wasn't me." Then he looked out the bedroom window to see our neighbor laying on the ground. I looked out the kitchen sliding door to see our neighbor laying on the ground about 10 feet away from the ladder that was on the ground. I made Brian go out and check on him because I was too nervous. I called 911 while Brian checked on the neighbor. You can only imagine what was going through our minds at this point. I sounded so stupid to 911 because I didn't know their address and could barely tell my own phone number. After falling almost two stories off his ladder he is surprisingly fine to say the least...he has a sore hip and arm. He did turn down the ambulance ride to the hospital but when you see a man laying on the ground you don't know what will be there. Brian and I were scared out of our wits but luckily all is fine.

My Hero

Just talked to Todd a bit ago. He finished the whole triathlon!!! He originally thought he'd be in too much pain to do it at all then thought he'd at least try the swim and bike and just see how far he could make it. With the group going down early Friday they got to do a test swim in the lake that day and a practice bike yesterday. He was feeling confident enough last night to give the whole thing a go. He said he had some pain starting out in the swim but got through it, the bike wasn't too bad other than he hadn't biked for so long that he got stiff being hunched over. He had to walk the first few miles of the run and then was able to run the last few miles. I'm so proud of him and so relieved that it's over. I hope he didn't do anymore harm to his back. He says he's fine sitting but when he tries to stand he's in a lot of pain. No different than any other day I guess. The boys and I can stop worrying!

He'll even be home in time for supper....Dad and Nate are coming over to eat since Mom is still out of town. Drew is making two of the desserts he made in his cooking class this past week.....Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Rocky Road Candy. How can you go wrong with chocolate, peanuts and marshmallows?? He's also doing his famous breadsticks and I'm making homemade turkey meatballs, pasta, and a fruite tray. We'll celebrate with Todd.

Todd had the camera all weekend so I'm sure I'll post some pictures on my blog later. Just wanted to pass on the news b/c I'm excited for him (and relieved!)

Cody took this Shot

Is there any surprise my English Major son thought this sign was hysterical and had to jump out of the car to take a picture? It was taken in Palmyra, MO on the way back from Suzie & Shawn's wedding!

Some Slippin' & Slidin'

Matt, Beth and kiddos stopped by last night just as Todd was getting the Slip n Slide ready for the boys so they joined in the fun. Unfortunately I had a meeting at St Dominic so I missed all of the fun but Todd got some really cute pictures that I just had to share!

Seriously....Could. Eat. Her.
Aiden sliding along.........

Blake reminds of the bowling scene in Grease 2.
Go Drewbie, Go Drewbie
Ty has his own way of doing it.
Water in the face, water in the face.

Best buds and cousins. I could eat them up too.
Ellie was a little thirsty.

I guess everybody was thirsty. We just serve hose water at our house. Nuttin' but the best.

These are the kinds of memories

summers are made of!!

Meow

Okay, in my head I know all the reasons why we really shouldn't get a kitten right now & I totally know it's not the right time...but one look at these pics makes me waiver!

I think we may be visiting Kelly & Todd's new addition when they get one. We'll live through you for awhile, okay?:)

The beautiful bride and her daddy.

Can you feel the love?

LOVE this daddy/daughter dance. Look at the love in his eyes.
This was taken during the toasts. I think I cried through each one. Beautiful

"My Girl". Suzie, I know you know you got off easy here!! This was very sweet. The family still owes you one embarrassing song. :)

The Klauser Version

Thought I'd post a few of our pictures. I didn't take as many as I had wanted to so I will need to make some copies. I'd really love someone to email me one of the whole Bozarth family since I didn't get one of those.

Here's the gorgeous bride and her dad.

My first glimpse of Ian.

Beth and her knockout voice.

YAY, Mr and Mrs Thiessen!!!

The ring bearer was worn out.

Sibling love.
Sweetness.
I'm dying to watch the videos. I think we should get together and watch them some night. The dancing at the reception alone is quality entertainment.
Kris and Brian, I hope you are settling into married life and home life!! When can we come visit??? :)
