You decide

Henry F. Potter, the richest man in Bedford Falls,
Was he a miserable, no good, son of a buck or was he misunderstood, confused, quirky business owner who had to make tough decisions in dire times?

Souper Bowl Champion is...............
Todd Klauser.
We'll definitely have to do it again. We had a lot of fun, ate a lot of good food, some had a lot of gas (not mentioning any names Jeff.....just sayin'), and after double elimination Todd made it to the end. Brandon came in a close second. Riley, you may be a cute little kindergartener, but you rock the bowling alley. Don't try to mess with her, she'll beat ya by a long shot! Noah is still excited that he beat Joe! I think it was agreed that we need to do it again, hopefully the next time my immediate family can make it. It definitely wasn't the same without you guys!!

Would You Like To Come For A Swim??
You could have come wading in our basement earlier in the week and come darn close to swimming in it last night. We even had a waterfall. Let me back up and tell you this wonderful story.
Earlier in the week Todd went to put our card table and chairs away in the room where the sump pump is and accidentally knocked it, turning it OFF. You can imagine the mess in the basement the next morning. We had water in the hallway all the way into the spare bedroom. So he's been spending all week with the shampooer sucking up the water and cleaning the carpets.
But wait, it gets better. Last night, I had just gotten the boys to sleep finally. (Noah was scared to sleep because after watching the video at school about MLK getting shot, he was afraid someone would come in our house and shoot him.) Anyway, it was 9:30 pm the boys were down, Todd was at soccer, and I was snuggling up on the couch getting ready to watch my American Idol. I kept hearing a wierd noise but couldn't make it out. I walked over to the top of the stairs and it sounded like someone was in the basement. You can only imagine my face when I got to the basement and turned to the hallway and saw water gushing out of the ceiling and the carpet had PUDDLES in it. The ceiling tiles had bowed completely down like they were about to burst. I ran upstairs into the main bathroom and literally splashed through at least an inch of water on the floor. My first thought was to doggy paddle over to the toilet and turn the water valve off since I knew that's where the water was coming from. Then I ran to the garage to get the shop vac. As I open the door, Todd was pulling in the garage and I yelled at him to hurry and get inside. ( I threw some choice obscenities in there also). To make the rest of the story a bit shorter, Todd and I were up very late.....me with the shampooer sucking up water, him with the shop vac. We lost track of how many times we emptied each of them and I have more to do today. We also have fans going everywhere. The carpet looks gross so we are having it professionally cleaned. We also need to fix some of the trim that is ruined and of course get new ceiling tiles. Now how did this second flooding happen??? Well Todd thought Aiden was old enough to learn to wipe his own butt. I said NOT! Yesterday I had just hopped in the shower when Aiden came in to potty. I tried to dry off to wipe him but he had already done it and clogged the toilet with toilet paper. So at some point at bedtime, the toilet got flushed and the valve in the toilet never went down so it just kept filling with water till it overflowed. Here's the best part (honey, I still love you). My brilliant husband never turned the sump pump back on after the last fiasco. Why? Who the hell knows, but the darn thing is plugged in now. All I know is it might have come in handy last night!!!

No, I'm not talking about education.
Would you like me to make this a private blahg, where only members can see it? Just let me know. Majority rules.

Congrats
I saw in Thurs. nights' paper that Cody made the Dean's List at WIU. Great job Cody! I know we already knew you had a good semester but it was neat to see your name in print!

Happy New Year 2009
Some Bozarth Traditions never fade. I think Joe will be banging pots and pans as long as he lives on Spring Street, even though he couldn't get his boys to join in the fun! I hope you all have much joy and happiness in the new year...I know we have A LOT to look forward to, and even more to be thankful for.
