The Bozarth Head......

AKA.....Jeff. Joe made reference to it like I don't know who he is talking about. I am not stupid. I have a big head. I get it already. Wait a minute....I have to move my chair for better light. What is the big deal about a big head. Charlie Brown has a big head. Frankenstein had a big head. Where are the blogs on them Joe? So I had to use a 55 gallon drum for a footbal helmut. So they designed Epcot after me. So they have forbidden me to ever be president because my head won't fit on currency. I am not an animal...I AM A HUMAN BEING! Well, now that I have calmed down a little bit, I am going to help Brandon on a project about Solar eclipses. He appreciates the big head.

Another article

I posted another article today online. I don't care if you read them, just sign onto the site, since I get paid by the click. :) Thanks so much and I hope everyone is having as wonderful a Thanksgiving as I am. My Christmas present from Rob and Beata is a Wii, and we are having so much fun playing with it. I'm a lucky lucky bug.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone

I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We love all of you so much and I am truly thankful for the wonderful family I was born into. We may all joke about being a Bozarth and how bad it is, but it is a serious blessing to be a part of a family this size that is so close to each other. Again, thank you to each and every one of you.

One thing that we are very thankful for is that they recovered our car!!! Apparently it was taken for a major joy ride and then abandoned at a local McDonalds. From there it was towed, and when they ran the VIN, they discovered it stolen. We are very grateful to know where it is now. The estimators looked at it, and it needs about $1300 worth of repairs, so we are also thankful for insurance. There are cigarette burns on the seats, scratches on the outside, and some tire damage. Also it is just filthy on the inside. They did steal everything inside though, and took our license plates, but everything inside is definitely replaceable.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know. Happy Thanksgiving one and all. We look forward to seeing you on New Years Day!!!!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Last night we had our Thanksgiving dinner at mom and dad's house. As we sat down to eat, Dad says "This is our last Thanksgiving in this house" I laughed and said "That's what you said last Thanksgiving".

Last year on Thanksgiving Dad made a little speech about it being our last one in the old house and started getting teary and emotional. We were all laughing at him thinking he was being silly as usual. Once we realized he was serious, we all felt really bad! They thought they'd be in their new house by this time, this year. So some bad weather and cancer delayed their dream a little bit. But mom and dad persevered through it and are just a small step away from moving into their new house. The important thing is, Dad is healthy and we are going to have the best Christmas ever in their new house!

Happy Birthday Adam!!!

Happy Birthday Adam!!!
These are the days I miss you most, but I am glad you get to do what you want today, including sleeping in, and dinner with friends before your show tonight (no work--Yay) I will think of you constantly today and wonder what you are doing, and will think back about the day you were born and all the joy you brought to my life ever since. You will hold my heart captive until my last day on earth. I love you and miss you somedays unbearably, but I am constantly proud of your adventurous spirit and what a wonderful man you have become. I am proud of your dad and myself too, that we didn't hold on tight even though it is what we wanted to do more than anything. So Happy Birthday DEAR Adam and wishes that ALL your days are Happy, Healthy, Safe and Successful (mothers creed)

Obviously the reason I don't know all the lines to It's A Wonderful Life is because I was too busy watching Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

My beautiful, beautiful car

So on September 27th, Danny and I bought our first car together. It was a beautiful 2008 Ice Blue Kia Sorento. This was the first time I ever had a loan on a car and my first brand new car ever. I was absolutely in love with this car. Today, I walked out the front door with Hailey to get into this wonderful car and it was gone. That's right. Somebody stole our car. Danny and I are so upset and just feel violated. We feel like we are good people and are nice to people and this happens. The car only had 2000 miles on it and I didn't even get to show it off to my parents yet. This sucks!!

Eric & Julie

Eric came home for a visit this weekend and brought his new girlfriend for a visit. Her name is Julie (yes, another J) and she is delightful...so sweet, wonderful manners and fun to be around. (I love her mother already for doing such a great job!!) Julie got to meet some of the family at a get together at Tower and our house Saturday night, and she fit right in. The best thing about her is that my Eric is happy around her. I saw him helped her put her jacket on, so I felt like I'd done a little right in raising my son be to a gentleman. It was a fun visit, and I hope she can come back soon. Thank you to everyone that made her feel welcome and not too overwhelmed right away.

Veterans' Day

A big salute to Rob and Jake--two in our family who are currently serving in the armed forces. We're proud of you guys.

I believe today used to be called Armistice Day, and it celebrated the end of WW1. I'd love it if we could celebrate the end of all war, so that our boys could be peacekeepers. Love you, Rob. And Jake, I hope you are doing well.

For Jessi

Girl, you are going to have the best time of your life at the concert tonight. Seeing them twice wasn't enough!! Here's how close to them we were when they were on the rotating circular stage.

They're singing "Dirty Dancing". Can you hear Erica and I screaming??? I took this video right before I fell off of my chair. Literally.

Houses

I am so excited for mom and dad to sell their house and move into their new beautiful home. I'm excited to have family get togethers there and holidays there.

So how come when I saw their house listed for sale in the paper today I felt a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach? I have a feeling moving day will be a little hard for me.

Title

C'mon. No one has commented on the blog title. Don't you think Bozarth Blahg is clever? And it doesn't infringe on Joe's copyright.

I Believe.....

I believe that democracy is alive, that my vote counts, and that I can make a difference.
I believe that ice cream for breakfast is ok on Saturday mornings, and that there is nothing wrong with eating cookie dough out of a tube.
I believe that animals instinctively know when something is wrong and can always comfort you.
I believe that a hug from a child has healing powers.
I believe that mistakes are made but I’m sorry can go a long way.
I believe that if a food is unnaturally orange, it probably tastes amazing.
I believe that the beginning to a day is more fun than the end, but that a sunset is better than a sunrise.
I believe that family is everything.
I believe that Christmas presents should always be wrapped because it makes it so much more fun.
I believe that not much is better than a good afghan and a good book.
I believe that it’s ok to admit it when you’re wrong, but that everyone should know how to stand up for what they believe in.
I believe that a good vocabulary will get you far, but that you should carefully choose your words.
I believe that cheesecake should be a food group, that Taco Bueno is better than Taco Bell, and that Danny is a grill master.
I believe that you only get one great love, and that you better be smart enough to hold on to them.
I believe that Grandma hears me when I visit her at the cemetery, and I could swear that sometimes I can feel a hug.
I believe that you need to marry your best friend.

My voting story

I took Drew with me this afternoon to vote so he could see how the process works. As we leave Todd tells me to go to the table marked precinct 18. I said, why we are precinct 15. He says he knows but when he went, they didn't have his name at the table marked precinct 15, it was at precinct 18. He even checked the map of the city and it shows that we are precinct 15. So I'm confused and worried about looking like an idiot. So I go inside and go to the table Todd directed me to and now it says Precinct 15 and bingo, there's my name. So I'm guessing this morning when he went bright and early they had the table signs all mixed up or something. Welcome to America.

Oh, and I got my free Starbucks. Wasn't much of a deal though because it cost me $3 to get a hot chocolate for Drew. But I figured he deserved it for going with me and learning about the voting process.

The sad state of America's future...

Now, some "experts" may claim that the next generation is smart. IE. I am smarter than my parents, my children will be smarter than me, etc etc etc. So I am either forced to assume there are some really dumb parents out there that should not have had kids or that that statement is horribly false.

As some of you may know, I do my workstudy job at the one of the dorm's desk. I am currently a "desk associate" and mail clerk. My jobs include and are not limited to logging packages and handing them out when students come to pick them up, selling stamps, checking out equipment to students, and delivering mail. Easy as pie, really. I mostly use the internet or do school stuff.

Being the son of a postal employee, I have been blessed with a more than normal amount of understanding and knowledge of how the United States Postal Service works. I would like to think that most people can tell you what stamps do and how they work. But through my job, I have been discovering that most of these freshmen, these "leaders" of the new generation, are completely stupid.

Case in point, I was working one day and where I can forgive most people for not knowing the current price of stamps (42 cents, better to just buy Forever stamps, I know I did), but I don't know if I can forgive the following event. A doe-eyed student approaches me at the desk and purchases a stamp. He is sending some sort of form to Texas. After buying one stamp and filling the form out a little, he stops, looks at the form and then to me and says, "Will one stamp be enough to get it to....TX.....um.... Texas?" Well, damn me for being raised with Catholic guilt, because I should have said, "No, probably should slap a few more on there." But I didn't. I kindly explained to the young lad how stamps worked.

This was a rare case, and not really the point of this whole rant, but amusing nonetheless. No, the thing that irked me today and is the point that I want to share my frustrations is the case of students receiving the wrong mail. When a student receives mail that isn't theirs they are instructed by signs to hand it to the hall desk worker, where we put it in a box to be sorted through and forwarded along to the right address. Now, I know at home we still get mail for Grandma, Grandpa, what have you, very obviously most companies, businesses, people, etc. don't get the memo that people have moved or died. Moved in these cases, hopefully.

So I get a lot of students who just hand me the wrong mail, maybe say "this isn't ours," and move on, either knowing how USPS works or knowing the drill. But we have gotten these "saviors" of the mail who need to give us their life stories. Like today, awkward young student who came up and said, "This is my room number and the address, but this person is not me." And I of course don't remember the whole speech, but it was longer than it needed to be and you could tell he was maybe bothered by the fact that it wasn't his mail. I have also received people who angrily tell me it is not their mail saying like, "We keep getting this person's mail." To which I mutter to myself, "And you will keep getting it." Of course, when they had walked away.

The real point is that I am glad I am educated and that my dad is a post office employee.
