A big salute to Rob and Jake--two in our family who are currently serving in the armed forces. We're proud of you guys.
I believe today used to be called Armistice Day, and it celebrated the end of WW1. I'd love it if we could celebrate the end of all war, so that our boys could be peacekeepers. Love you, Rob. And Jake, I hope you are doing well.

Thanks to you both for keeping us safe and to all the Veterans in our family and everywhere.
Thanks, Jan. And how could I forget Tim--that crazy guy I met in Hawaii and who married my sister? :) Thanks for serving, Timmy.
Thanks to all of you guys! Hope you had a great Veteran's Day.
A big thank you to you guys, and to ALL our servicemen and woman both past and present. I always have an overwhelming feeling of awe when I think of all you sacrifice to keep our country FREE and safe. May God Bless you all and your families. On a Military note...my dad's ship is back in NY Harbor. He served aboard the USS Intrepid from '57-'59. He was in the Navy Reserves from his Senior year in HS ('52) until his deployment in Feb'57. My uncle Jim a Career Navy man served from '67 to '87 and my Uncle Bill was in Army during Vietnam. I am proud of all the service my family has given, but the oddest thing was during WWII my grandfather was paid to stay on the farm by the gov't to grow food for the war effort. I always thought I'd misunderstood this story as a child, but later I met a man that had happen to also. What a great country we live in!!!!
